Reach the PhotoChecker team — wrong or outdated specs, checker bugs, and site feedback.
The fastest way to reach us is email: hello@passports.pics.
What to write about
Wrong or outdated requirements (highest priority). Photo rules change and consulates differ — if a figure on the requirements page or a preset in the checker no longer matches the official guidance, send the authority’s page or document and we’ll correct it. Please include which country’s rule and what changed.
Bug reports. If the checker misread a photo, stalled, or gave a result that contradicts its own detail lines, include:
- the preset you selected and your photo’s dimensions/format (not the photo itself unless you’re comfortable sharing it — it never reaches us automatically),
- the check result you saw versus what you expected,
- your browser and operating system.
Because photos never leave your device, we can’t inspect a problem photo unless you choose to attach it — the details above usually let us reproduce the issue anyway.
Spec requests. Canada 50×70 mm, Australia, Japan, a specific visa type — tell us which document and how often you needed it. Real demand drives which presets get added.
Everything else. Site feedback, accessibility issues, partnership requests. Please include the URL of the page you’re writing about.
Before you write — two quick checks
A couple of questions answer themselves faster than email:
- “The checker says my head size can’t be measured” — that’s the face-detector fallback: it means your browser has no
FaceDetectoror it found no face. Click the crown, then the chin, on the preview — the two-click manual method is the intended path, not a bug. - “My photo passed but was still rejected” — see rejection reasons: shadows, expression, recency and retouching are outside what any checker can measure. The checker verifies measurable rules; acceptance stays with the issuing authority.
What to expect
We’re a small team and a person reads every message — no ticket system, no autoresponder. Corrections and bug reports are usually answered within a few days; general feedback may take longer. Note that we can’t check a photo for you by email — that’s not stubbornness, it’s the architecture: this site has no image-processing server, which is also why using it is private. The checker is always the fastest route.
